The Lake Tahoe region made a notable showing with multiple top ten awards in the recent USA Today 10 Best Reader's Choice Awards announced Friday, February 12th including a "#1 Best Ski Resort" award for Palisades Tahoe |Alpine Meadows, a "#1 Best Ski Destination" for South Lake Tahoe and a #3 in the 'Best Ski Town' for Truckee. 

Palisades Tahoe | Alpine Meadows took the top spot as 'Best Ski Resort' among twenty nominated North American ski areas and was the only Tahoe or California resort in the top ten for this award.

'The Chammy' Gets A Nod
Palisades Tahoe was also recognized with a top ten placement for Le Chamois, voted #9 for the "10 Best Apres' Ski Bars". The iconic beer and pizza establishment at the base of the mountain is known for it's authentic vibe, great food and its outdoor patio, a popular gathering place for locals and visitors alike.

The awards continued to flow, recognizing Lake Tahoe's prowess at numerous locations elsewhere around the region.

• South Lake Tahoe was highly acclaimed, being awarded a '#1 Best Ski Destination' award. 
• North Lake Tahoe took the #3 'Best Ski Destination' spot.
