Greetings concert lovers!  As of JULY 24th, 2020, here's the scoop:  The 2020 concerts At Commons Beach LIVE shows have officially been cancelled due to the continuing regulations and limitations caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic. 

BUT FEAR NOT!  The Tahoe City Downtown Association (TCDA) and Concerts At Commons Beachorganizers and sponsors have teamed up with 101.5 Truckee-Tahoe Radio to bring you the "Best Of Concerts At Commons Beach, a very special radio replay series to be broadcast and streamed every Sunday afternoon in August!  This hand-picked series features live recordings of pcarefully selected top notch favorite past Concerts At Comons Beach shows!  As such, music fans from all over the region (and the world, for that matter) are invited to listen, reminisce and relive some of the good times we've all enjoyed on Commons Beach over the past several years - all from the comfort, convenience, and safety of their home, boat, job, car, driveway or backyard.

August 2: Lebo and Friends

Dan Lebowitz (Lebo) is best known as a founding member of ALO, a California rock band he has been playing guitar and singing with since he was 13 years old. In his own group, Lebo brings an all-star lineup of Bay Area aces to deliver an intoxicating blend of melodic rock, California funk and soul. This show will feature their live performance at Commons Beach from summer 2017.


August 9: Turkuaz

Turkuaz is a funk army of multi-instrumentals and singers that is part freight train and part tyrannosaurus rex, who—even on an off night—can blow away a room on the basis of sheer physics alone. This performance will be their live show at Commons Beach from summer 2014.

August 16: Poor Man’s Whiskey

Poor Man’s Whiskey is Northern California’s outlaw music, bringing a reputation for high energy live shows and an incomparable bluegrass, southern rock, and old school jam to stages and festivals worldwide. This “High-Octane Hootenanny” from summer 2019 will certainly delight those interested in a foot-stompin good time.

 

August 23: Diggin’ Dirt
Diggin’ Dirt​ began planting its roots back in 2011 in the town of Arcata, CA in Humboldt County. This show was played at Commons Beach in summer 2019. Diggin’ Dirt  is influenced by funk heavy hitters such as James Brown, Funkadelic, Bootsy Collins and Sly and the Family Stone as well as reggae bands like Steel Pulse and modern funk like Orgone.

 

August 30: “Best of Mash-up” featuring Joy & Madness, Dead Winter Carpenters and more!

For the final concert of the summer series, a “best of” mash-up will blend the performances of fan favorites including the funk and soul sounds of Joy & Madness, the Americana sounds of North Lake Tahoe’s Dead Winter Carpenters, and other popular Concerts at Commons Beach musicians for a boot stompin’, feel good finale.

Concerts at Commons Beach are free shows made possible by the generosity of community sponsors. To support the return of future in person concerts, attendees and community supporters are invited to donate at https://concertsatcommonsbeach.com.

Tahoe City’s 2020 streaming concert series is presented by the Tahoe City Downtown Association with support from headlining sponsors: Placer County, Tahoe City Public Utilities District, Tahoe Dave’s, and Tahoe City Marina. The series is sponsored by Olympic Bike Shop, Tahoe Marina Lakefront and RasBobre Recordings, with one night only sponsorship from JK Architecture Engineering, Tahoe Yacht Club, Ogilvy Consulting and the Tahoe Truckee Airport District. Roadie sponsors include IVGID and Drink Tahoe Tap, and Plumas Bank. Media sponsors include 101.5 KTKE, LT Marketing, Tahoe Weekly and Tahoetopia.

Adventure Van Expo - Lake Tahoe
September 5, 2020 to September 6, 2020

Shop, stroll, and check out killer vans and amazing builds!

  • Events are free to the public and open to anyone.

  • We are centered around vans but there will be 4x4 rigs and more:

  • Come see the gear, racks, roof top tents, trailer tents and accessories

  • Meet professional adventure vehicle builders and see their products on display

  • Network with like minds, special parking in “Van Row” for van owners-first come come first serve.

  • Food and Beer, Wine

  • Product Demonstrations, Workshops

  • All events are near fun things to do, on bike paths, near biking, hiking or even skiing (MT Hood)

  • Shows run Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • This year we’ll camp the Expo at Mt Hood, Grand Targhee, Tahoe and in Montana!

Come check out the incredible van builds, open house vans, vans, and more vans! But not just vans-4 Wheel Camper will be returning this year, with 3 rigs this time, as will Aluminess, Sportsmobile, Allrad4x4, Roambuilt, and more….there will be solar talks, demonstrations food and beer.
