Peaks & Paws Launches Tahoe's Dog Days of Summer

The Village at Palisades Tahoe welcomes the return of its dog-friendly music festival, Peaks and Paws, this weekend, June 17-18, with two full days of dog-friendly events, activities, and concerts dedicated to celebrating our four-legged friends.

Peaks and Paws is a special weekend to celebrate dogs featuring pet-friendly guided hikes, a 'Splash Dogs' dock jumping competition, “Yappy Hour” drink specials, an array of pet-centric specialty products and vendors, as well as live bluegrass music all weekend. Peaks and Paws is a fundraiser for the local community and all proceeds from the event benefit the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe, a non-profit dedicated to saving and improving the lives of animals. A $5 entry donation will also go toward the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe. Last year’s festival raised a total of $22,500 in proceeds for the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe. Peaks and Paws will take place Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

“Due to its popularity, we’ve extended our Peaks and Paws Festival from one day to a full weekend,” said Caroline Ross, executive director for the Squaw Village Neighbourhood Company. “We’re thrilled to provide a fun and welcoming environment for guests and their furry companions and hope we can raise even more funds for the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe this year.”
