Gar Woods Grill & Pier in Carnelian Bay, and The Monte Foundation will host their 6th Annual Labor Day Weekend “Fireworks Spectacular”, known as one of the best fireworks shows in the region, on Sunday, September 2nd at 8:30pm.

Gar Woods to Host 6th Annual Labor Day Fireworks Spectacular on Sunday, September 2nd

Tahoe's well known, "Home of the “Wet Woody”, Gar Woods Grill & Pier, and The Monte Foundation will host their 6th Annual Labor Day Weekend “Fireworks Spectacular” on Sunday, September 2nd at 8:30pm. Locals and visitors alike are are invited to sit front row and watch the Labor Day Weekend sky light up just off Gar Woods' pier. Since it's start, many have said this is the best fireworks show they’ve ever seen.

While the North Shore's only lakefront Labor Day fireworks show pays homage to the social and economic achievement of workers, it will also benefit North Tahoe-Truckee Area Sports Programs. In the last five years this event has raised over $85,000, directly to funding local sports programs. The event's producers hope to break a record this year.

In addition to the funds that Gar Woods donates from the evening, local High School athletes will be selling glow sticks, flashing headbands, and other “Fireworks Swag” on the beach that will contribute to the proceeds. Guests can also leave a donation on their credit card, write a check or contribute while dining at Gar Woods, Bar of America, or Caliente this month. 100% of these donations will go directly to sports programs in the Tahoe-Truckee Area.

Gar Woods is an iconic cornerstone restaurant in North Lake Tahoe, known for it’s amazing food, popular signature drinks and incredible view of Lake Tahoe. Gar Woods' owner, Tom Turner, believes in giving back to the community that has supported Gar Woods for 30 years and looks forward to this year’s benefit that will contribute to the sports programs and well-being of North Tahoe and Truckee.
