From News Release...

[Olympic Valley, Calif.] February 26, 2015 – The excitement of music, mountains and brews is coming to Palisades Tahoe Alpine Meadows during the first-ever WinterWonderGrass Tahoe festival March 20 – 22, 2015. WinterWonderGrass Tahoe is a three-day event featuring more than 15 world-class bluegrass and acoustic roots performances, 12 California craft breweries, and local food vendors under the snow covered peaks of Palisades Tahoe.

Headliners include acclaimed bluegrass bands Trampled by Turtles, Greensky Bluegrass, The Infamous Stringdusters and Elephant Revival, as well as a special appearance by Grammy Award-winning “King of Newgrass” Sam Bush. California favorites Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers, Dead Winter Carpenters, and The California Honey Drops will also be performing, adding some local flavor to this stellar line-up.

Kids can join the festivities as well, with a designated Kids Zone that includes face painting, hula hooping and crafts in a heated tent. The entire festival, including the Kids Zone, is free for children ages 12 and under.

WinterWonderGrass Tahoe has partnered with Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and Golden Road Brewing as the festival’s presenting beer sponsors. Between performances and runs on the slopes, concert-goers can enjoy the festival’s heated beer tents where California craft breweries will be pouring their signature suds from 2:30 – 5:30 p.m. daily. Three-day ticket holders will also receive a commemorative stainless steel festival mug.

Beyond blues and brews, WinterWonderGrass Tahoe celebrates local non-profit foundations and sustainable living initiatives. This year, WinterWonderGrass Tahoe has aligned with the Rex Foundation, a philanthropic organization established by members of the Grateful Dead to proactively provide extensive community support to creative endeavors in the arts, sciences, and education. In an effort to respect the natural beauty of the High Sierra, the festival will have composting and recycling stations to help offset the environmental impact of the event.
