After a disappointing cancellation last year, this Sunday, September 20th, Palisades Tahoe, Truckee and North Lake Tahoe will host the IRONMAN Lake Tahoe triathlon, welcoming competitors from around the globe for what is becoming known as one of the most challenging IRONMNAN events in the world.

Squaw Valley Launches Snow Dance Contest

In celebration of the recent new snow and to inspire more snowfall, Palisades Tahoe | Alpine Meadows has announced the launch of a public Tahoe Snow Dance Contest. Running through Dec. 14, skiers and riders are invited to share a video of their best 'Tahoe Snow Dance' on Palisades Tahoe’s website, as well as on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter via Vine with the hashtag #TahoeSnowDance.

Sugar Bowl Extends Season Into May

Sixty-eight inches of new snow has fallen on the slopes of Sugar Bowl Resort in the month of April alone, bringing its season-to-date snow total to 782 inches. With more than a 19-foot snow base stacked up at the resort atop Donner Summit near Lake Tahoe, resort officials have decided to extend the season until May 7, 2017.
