Truckee July 4th Parade: A Small Town Classic
The Town of Truckee's annual July 4th parade brings history and the vibrant energy of this quaint mountain town to life in one of the Sierra's highest regarded traditional Independence Day parades. This year’s parade theme of Live-Work-Play Truckee! celebrates everyone in the Truckee community that enjoys life in the mountains every day or when visiting.
Truckee Tracks: Truckee Thursdays
Every Thursday during summer Downtown Truckee is transformed into a vibrant street fair with artisans, food vendors, fun for kids, a beer garden, and live music. Truckee Thursdays is a great way to experience the exuberance and multi-faceted community in this historic mountain town.

Got Beer? Two Weekends, 3 Oktoberfests In Tahoe
The Village at Palisades Tahoe will hold its annual Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, September 24th, followed by Tahoe City and South Lake Tahoe with their Oktoberfests the following weekend. All three events feature a host of brews, live music, dancing, games and good-time Tahoe revelry.
Tahoe Roadwork Intensifies Pre-Winter
Multiple sections of Lake Tahoe highways are scheduled to be worked on in the coming days prior to the onset of winter weather. This updated list includes scheduled roadwork from October 30th through November 3rd.
SWEP Film Festival To Celebrate Water & Education
Sierra Watershed Education Partnerships (SWEP) will hold their inaugural film festival, 'Water: The Essential', October 23-25 at Tahoe Art Haus & Cinema and Moe's Original Barbecue in Tahoe City. The weekend will feature multiple films about water issues, adventures on water and other environmental issues.
Ski Free When You Buy A Lake Tahoe License Plate
If you love Lake Tahoe and you love to ski or snowboard, now is the time to take advantage of the “Plates for Powder” program. From now until April 1, individuals who purchase a new Lake Tahoe license plate in either California or Nevada can receive two free lift tickets to one of 13 Tahoe resorts participating in the program.
Music On The Beach Series 2018 Announced
The North Tahoe Business Association has officially announced the lineup for the 2018 Music On The Beach free waterfront concert series held at Kings beach State Recreation Area. The series kicks off Friday, June 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will continue every Friday evening through August 31, excluding August 10.
