Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) will host their thirteenth Annual Skate the Lake July 28 - 29th. The event raises funds for B4BCs prevention and survivorship programs. The two-day event includes a kick-off registration party July 28, followed by Saturday’s Great Skate with participants skating, biking, or roller skating along a 28-mile portion of North Lake Tahoe.

Please join B4BC athletes, staff and friends as we celebrate the Tahoe Community and those dedicated to skating for the cause. Highlights include:

  •   Live music by Chuck Ragan + DJ AUX/DJ IJV

  •   PBR beer garden + BBQ

  •   Live painting, silent auction + huge raffle

  •   B4BC Yoga Heals session lead by Yoga Studio Tahoe 4 PM (Suggested $10 donation)

    Sat July 29, 2017 - Skate the Lake

  •   7:30 AM SHARP! Meet at Sugar Pine Point State Park for shuttle transportation to the start

  •   8:30 2 PM Skate, bike or roller skate 28 miles throughout scenic Lake Tahoe//Three

    Hydration Stations

  •   2 4:30 PM Awards ceremony at Finish Line - Heritage Plaza in Tahoe City (590 North Lake

    Boulevard, Tahoe City, Calif.)

    Participation Fee: Fundraise a minimum of $50 to participate in the skate - includes sponsor goodie bag, event t-shirt and raffle tickets. The top three fundraisers will be recognized and awarded prize packs from partners including GoPro, Skullcandy, Arbor, Von Zipper and Nixon. Please note: All participants are required to sign waivers. If you are under 18, you must have signatures from a parent or legal guardian and wear a helmet.

Since it’s inception in 2005, B4BC’s Skate the Lake has raised over $260,000. Funds raised support B4BC’s outreach, education and survivorship programs and the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer community.
