"The PUSH” follows Grant Korgan, the first adaptive athlete to "PUSH" 100 miles across the polar icecap to the South Pole - on the 100th anniversary of Robert Falcon Scott’s expedition. An avid snowmobiler, skier, world class kayaker, adventurer, nano-mechanics professional, and devoted husband, in March 2010, Grant burst fractured his L1 vertebrae while snowmobiling in the Tahoe Back Country. Grant initially lost all feeling and movement below his belly button. With the help of Truckee Based High Fives, total emotional support from his wife and unwavering personal positive energy, in one short year, Grant is now walking with arm crutches. Starting on January 7, Grant is accompanied by Doug Stoup - the world’s leading pole expedition leader, Tal Fletcher - ski guide, pilot, rescue and evacuation expert, Tom Day – acclaimed cinematographer, and Keoki Flagg - acclaimed adventure photographer to cross the South Pole. Grant will "PUSH" an estimated 250,000 strokes over 100 miles pulling a sled. Read more about this incredible adventure at Southpolepush.com.
