Northstar California's downhill terrain offers the perfect venue for our exciting and challenging downhill race series. There are over 20 divisions for men, women and juniors to compete in and the top three in each division receive awards at the conclusion of each race and at the conclusion of the series, based on cumulative points.

Race after-parties and awards will be held on the Day Lodge Deck (at mid-mountain) with food and drink specials! Awards are scheduled to begin at approximately 3:30 p.m. (or a half hour after the final competitor).

All race courses will be closed one half hour before the start of the race.

• #2 Sunday, July 15: Sticks & Stones, Pro/Ex. Sport/Beginner-Sticks & Stones-Speed Control-L. Sticks & Stones
• #3 Sunday, July 29: Karpiel, Pro/Ex Sport/Beginner-Karpiel-Karpiel-Pho Dogg
• #4 Sunday, August 19: Gypsy/Wire, all classes, top of gypsy to zone 5 or 6 of Livewire
• #5 Sunday, August 26: Sinuous-Karpiel-Speed Control-Pho Dogg- all classes
• #6 Sunday, September 2 (6th Annual Live Wire Classic)
• #7 Sunday, September 16: Boondocks- all classes
• #8 Sunday, September 28 - 30 (Tara Llanes Classic): Course TBD

Race Fee & Registration

Over the phone registration is not available. Please register online or in person.

Single Race: $35 (lift ticket not included)

Race Series (all 8 races): $240

Pro Race Series (all 8 races): $265 (includes entry into the Tara Llanes Classic)

Pro Purse: $10 cash per rider, per race

Register today for the 2012 Downhill Mountain Bike Race Series at Northstar! Register online at least 24 hours in advance, or register in person on the morning of the race from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. in the Village at Northstar Tickets & Season Pass Office. All racers must check-in by 10:30 a.m. in the Tickets & Season Pass Office.

Helmets are required. Format will be a one-run race. USA Cycling license is not required. All racers must complete the Mountain Bike Release of Liability prior to racing. Please call 1.800.466.6784 for more information.

Racer lift tickets are not included in the entry fee. Racer lift tickets are $35 each with proof of registration and can be purchased when you register for the race/series.
