From Nov. 26th News Release...

[Olympic Valley, Calif.] November 26, 2014 – Palisades Tahoe is now open for the 2014-15 winter season. The Lake Tahoe resort today opened with five lifts for skiing and riding, along with snowtubing, scenic Aerial Tram rides, ice skating, yoga, shopping, and dining.

“It’s a fantastic day on the slopes here at Palisades Tahoe,” said Cara Whitley, chief marketing officer for Palisades Tahoe | Alpine Meadows. “We are so excited to be open for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, allowing skiers and riders to hit the slopes with family and friends.”

Palisades Tahoe recently received 5 inches of snow, and snowmaking efforts have been underway since late October.

"Overnight temperatures have been cold enough to allow significant snowmaking to occur," said Mike Livak, executive vice president of Palisades Tahoe | Alpine Meadows. "Within the last week we've been able to make snow every night on both the upper and lower mountain."

Palisades Tahoe's lifts are now open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Alpine Meadows is scheduled to open Friday, Dec. 12.
