Homewood Set To Open Saturday, Dec. 20

Homewood Mountain Resort has announced a confirmed opening day for the season, this Saturday, Dec. 20th. Known for its sweeping views of Lake Tahoe, the resort will offer limited intermediate and beginner terrain as well as a visit by Santa Claus.

Lifts and Terrain Scheduled
The recent storms have blanketed the resort's upper mountain. However, early-season conditions still exist. Open intermediate and advanced level terrain on the upper portion of the resort will be serviced by the Old Homewood Express charlift. The Madden Triple chair will be open to serve as the transport lift for both uploading and downloading skiers to and from the upper mountain. Beginner terrain will be available at the South Lodge Children's Center and on the North Lodge Magic Carpet surface lifts.

Lessons Available
Ski and snowboard lessons for children and adults will be available at the South Lodge Children's Center and the North Lodge, respectively.

Holiday & Passholder Party Postponed
Due to the efforts focused on opening day, Homewood's annual Holiday and Pass Holder Appreciate Party has been postponed. A new date will be announced soon.

West Shore Cafe Open
The West Shore Cafe, located on the shore of Lake Tahoe just across the street from Homewood Mountain Resort, is open for the winter, serving lakefront brunch-lunch, dinners and apres ski specials nightly. Call 530-525-5200 for hours and reservations.
