More Fresh Snow - The Season's A Go!
Resorts, holiday vacationers and eager skiers and snowboarders are aglow with excitement following a wild and windy storm that delivered fresh snow to Lake Tahoe area resorts this week.
As of early Friday morning (Dec. 12th) Donner Summit resorts (Sugar Bowl and Boreal) were reporting receiving nearly two feet of fresh snow in the previous 24 hours. Palisades Tahoe also reported up to 17" of new snow on their upper mountain and Homewood, on Lake Tahoe's west shore, reported up to 15". More Snow Next Week?
Forecasters with the National Weather Service in Reno, NV. are also mentioning the possibility of additional winter storms early next week, including a cold blast on Monday followed by more on Tuesday.
