Jan 1 (Wed) - New Year's Day On-Trail Breakfast - Start the year right with a great morning cross-country ski at Tahoe XC in Tahoe City followed by a hot meal on the trail.  Also join Tahoe XC for a Free Intro Skate Skiing Lesson every Wednesday all season long at 10am & 1pm.  More Info...

Jan 1 (Wed) - Yoga Squaw'd - every Wednesday all winter long to get your stretch, om, and relaxation at the Wanderlust Yoga Studios at Palisades Tahoe.  Yoga at Northstar every Wednesday for a 75min integrated Yoga class, combining Vinyasa Flow & Yin Yoga at Balance Holistic Health Spa.

Jan 3-4 (Fri-Sat) - Live Music every weekend at Garwoods, Bar of America , and the Crystal Bay Casino.  Pick your favorite venue on beautiful Lake Tahoe, Historic Downtown Truckee, or in Crystal Bay for some great live music, fun, and dancing.

Jan 4 (Sat) - Volcom PB & J Rail Jam - the US Tour is coming to Boreal.  Snowboarders only.   More Info...

Jan 5 (Sun) - Yappy Hour at the Ritz - Enjoy the company of your four-legged friend with food and drink specials every Sunday all winter long.  Designed for canines and their companions on the Backyard Terrace of the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. Weather permitting.  More Info...

Jan 7 (Tue) - Turtleneck Tuesday Skate Nights - Enjoy your favorite grooves from the 70's and 80's in the Village at Northstar as you go around the 9,000 square-foot ice-rink!  While you're there, take advantage of the warm outdoor fire pits and enjoy a drink and S'mores from the Cabana Bars!   More Info...

Jan 9 (Thu) - Hacienda's Unofficial Thursdays - come to the Boatworks Mall in Tahoe City every Thursday in January for a great time each week to get together, have fun, and win stuff!  Tons of raffles throughout the year for $1000s of dollars of ski equipment.  Also, fantastic food & drink specials.  More Info...

Jan 9-12 (Thu-Sun) - US Snowboarding & Freeskiing Grand Prix - will feature both halfpipe and slopestyle at Northstar California Resort with each event counting towards Olympic selection. Halfpipe and slopestyle skiing, along with slopestyle snowboarding, will make their Olympic debut at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.  More Info...

Jan 9-19 - Olympic Heritage Celebration - Palisades Tahoe and North Lake Tahoe celebrate our Olympic heritage with special events, guided snowshoe tours and a meet and greet with past Olympians in various North Tahoe locations. Celebrate and cheer on our local athletes as they prepare for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.  More Info...

Jan 11 (Sat) - Afrofunk Experience - Delivering home grown AfroFunk, AfroBeat, and Reggae tunes at the Crystal Bay Club.  An original Bay Area Funk Band and winner of the NAACP Image Award's Outstanding World Music Album "Black President."  More Info...

Jan 10-12 (Fri-Sun) - USA BMX Nationals - Some of the top amateur and professional BMX racers for the U.S. and worldwide will compete in Reno at the first event of the 2014 National series season.  Over 1500 racers are expected and it's FREE to spectators!  More Info...

Jan 12 & 14 (Sun/Tue) - Reno Philharmonic: Classix Four - the best in symphonic classics, performed by their superb orchestra with world-renowned guest soloists.  The Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts in Reno hosts the event.  More Info...

Jan 15 (Wed) - "A Benefit for Blake" Dead Winter Carpenters, Jellybread, and special guest Carolyn Wonderland - Everyone is invited to this great musical lineup and fun party to help the community support our amazing friend Blake, a Tahoe icon, Crystal Bay Club's sound guru and cornerstone, and Tahoe's nicest guy.  More Info...

Jan 18-19 (Sat-Sun) - Kirkwood Ski Team Raffle - go ski Kirkwood all day and buy some raffle tickets to support their Ski Team.  Good fun, great cause, and maybe win something really cool!  More Info...

Jan 20 (Mon) - Skoogsloppet Race - Organized by Tahoe Donner's local school cross country ski teams as a fundraiser, you can choose a 15km or 7.5km course. A 2km course option for 12-year-olds and under will be available. Everyone is welcome and all participants enter the drawing for some great prizes.  More Info...

Jan 23-25 (Thu-Sat) - Burton Mountain Festival - Enjoy a day of free on-snow entertainment at Northstar, including Burton 2014 product demos, live music, sponsor giveaways, and mini park for the smallest snowboarders. The Burton Mountain Festival includes the Test Ride, Riglet (children's snowboarding area), after-party at TC's Pub, and much more.  More Info...

Jan 24-26 (Fri-Sun) - Ullr Fest - Diamond Peak Ski Team celebrates Ullr Fest by extending an invitation to the community to join them for family fun and festivities.  More Info...

Jan 25 (Sat) - 80s Dress-Up & Skinny Ski Race - Grab your skinny skies, put on your neon headband, and don the one-piece, because Homewood Mountain Resort is hosting the best ski day of the year – with none other than a homemade photo booth to capture all the retro glory.  More Info...

Jan 26-31 (Sun-Fri) - Excellence in Education Skiing for Schools - Special discounted tickets at Tahoe Donner Ski Area all week to support local students.  Tahoe XC is supporting the cause as well this week with their own discounted tickets.  Come out and support a good cause, get in some great skiing/riding, and feel good all the way around!
