Palisades Tahoe Bluesdays - This week's free blues concert at the Village at Squaw Valley is a must-attend music event for the region.  Albert Castiglia, whose first big break came about when legendary harmonica player Junior Wells heard him sing and play and immediately hired him for his touring band. Boatwork's Mall Arts & Crafts Festival - (Fri-Sat) Come find something wonderful at this family-oriented two day event loaded with an array of fine arts & crafts.  Meet the artisans too!  Event starts at 10am in Tahoe City and goes till 5pm each day.  More Info...

Homewood Days - (Fri-Sat) Homewood Days is a celebration of the West Shore and the event is Homewood Mountain Resort's way of giving back to the people of Tahoe. They will host a free sunset concert, featuring New Monsoon and Lonesome Locomotive; guide a free group paddleboard expedition; and have a Bear League appearance complete with porcupines and much more.....Homewood Days Festival Info...

THIS WEEKEND:

For some it's all about testing oneself, for others it's about friendly competition, and yet there are those that do it just for fun!  Big Blue Adventure does it again with these well-run and challenging races. Super fun for spectators to watch and root on their favorite athletes, and spend a day at the beach in beautiful Incline Village, NV.

XTERRA Lake Tahoe Sprint & Duathalon - Saturday at 8am come see this all time classic off-road triathlon courses in Incline Village, NV.  Racers start with a swim in famous Lake Tahoe.  Both the Short and Long course complete the 22 mile bike with approximately 4000 feet of climbing. After the biking section racers transition onto a trail running course that is relatively flat to the finish. Big Blue 5k & 10k Trail Run - Saturday 9am race start.  The Village Green in Incline Village, NV. is where the course starts. This is a large open grass community field. Live Music Northstar-at-Tahoe - Enjoy live music in the Village at Northstar this summer.  Saturday's show is Doc's Holiday, an Americana/California Bluegrass band with original songs straight from the heart of California's Central Valley, and Sunday's show is Ann Marie & Caddywhompus, a Lake Tahoe based band that plays originals and covers....from folk to country to rock to who knows what else....sometimes a duo, a trio, a quartet or maybe even a 6 piece band!
