Wineries, Fine Art and World Music Come to The Village at Palisades Tahoe

The Village at Palisades Tahoe will burst with color, taste and sound as fine artists, craftsman and musicians come to town for the 12th Annual Art, Wine and Music Festival. Featuring exquisite regional artwork, fine wine and great local acts playing music from around the world, the festival is a delight for all senses. The event will take place Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in The Village at Palisades Tahoe.

From 2-5 p.m. each day, wine lovers can sample offerings from more than 15 wineries. Featured wineries include Madrora, Truchard, White Hart, Twisted Rivers, and more. While sampling wines in Squaw’s pedestrian village, visitors can admire fine art and crafts from more than 30 artists including gorgeous paintings, photography and jewelry.

Art, wine and music aficionados can also experience free outdoor concerts by some of the area’s most talented musicians including Milton Merlos, a local Flamenco player, Thom and the Tikis, a local Hawaiian band, Nell Robinson and Jim Nunally, and the New World Jazz Project.  The music will run throughout the weekend, providing the perfect soundtrack for sampling California’s best Pinot Noirs, Merlots, and Rieslings. For a complete music line-up see www.squaw.com/things-to-do/events-calendar/art-wine-music-festival.

Entrance to the festival is free. Wine tasting is $25 each day and includes a commemorative wine glass, with all proceeds benefitting Disabled Sports USA Far West.  Disabled Sports has been providing adaptive sports and recreational activities for people with disabilities for over 40 years in the Lake Tahoe area.
