Resorts Provide Updates On Coming Season

Representatives from nearly all of the North Lake Tahoe/Truckee area resorts made appearances at the recent 'Good Morning Truckee' community forum event on Tuesday, November 13th, to share insights and updates on what's new for the season ahead. Tahoe TV captured and assembled a condensed collection of the morning's presentations.

With exceptional early-season snowfall in October and early November, and more on the way, Truckee/North Tahoe residents and business are looking forward to an awesome 2012/13 winter ski season. On Tuesday, November 13th, The Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce's 'Good Morning Truckee' weekly event hosted representatives from nearly all of the region's resorts to share what’s new and exciting for the season ahead.

The morning 'community forum' began with Bob Roberts, president of the California Ski Industry Association (CSIA), with an overall update of the industry. The balance of the program was an energizing, fast-paced line-up of reports on what’s new at area resorts. In attendance representing the resorts were John Monson, Director of Marketing at Sugar Bowl, Bill Rock, GM of Northstar, California, Bob Roberts, CEO of the California Ski Industry Association, Jon Slaughter, Marketing Director at Boreal, Ron Parson of Granlibakken, Amelia Richmond of Palisades Tahoe, Jenny Kendrick of Alpine Meadows, Paul Raymore from Homewood, and others.

Good Morning Truckee is a community forum presented by the Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce to provide timely and relevant information on a variety of topics and create a networking opportunity. Good Morning Truckee is open to the public and is held the second Tuesday of every month at Truckee Tahoe Airport from 7:00-8:30am. Price at the door for general public is $10; Truckee Donner Chamber members are $8 and the event includes a continental breakfast.
