Following the significant snowfall this week, Boreal Mountain Resort, on Donner Summit, has announced the early-opening of resort operations this Friday - Sunday, October 26-28, making it the fourth year in a row that Boreal has offered October skiing and riding. The following news release was issued on October 24, 2012.

Donner Summit, CA, (October 25, 2012) – Boreal Mountain Resort will kick-off the ski and snowboard season on Friday, October 26, 2012.  The resort will provide one lift for skiers and riders to enjoy from 9am – 9pm.  This will mark the fourth year in a row that Boreal has provided skiing and riding in the month of October, reinforcing a commitment to providing guests with early season operations.

Boreal will operate the Castle Peak Quad chairlift offering access to one run featuring multiple terrain park features.  Boreal plans to operate thru the weekend and will assess conditions on Sunday to determine a mid-week operating schedule.

Friday, October 26th –     9:00pm – 9:00pm*
    -    $15 for All: Offering $15 lift tickets for all ages
Saturday, October 27th –     9:00am – 9:00pm*
    -     $35 Adult/Teen Lift Tickets, $20 Child Lift Tickets
    -    All current Boreal season passholders will get a free mini-session inside the Woodward Tahoe Bunker.
    -    Skate, BMX & Ski/Snowboard Events on the mountain and in Woodward Tahoe brought to you by Skullcandy.
Sunday, October 28th –     9:00am – 9:00pm*
    -     $35 Adult/Teen Lift Tickets, $20 Child Lift Tickets

Resort services will be available including season pass sales, food, beverages, and retail.  Gated access to the mountain, valid lift tickets and passes permitted in the gated area only.  Lift tickets subject to sell out.  All 2012/2013 Boreal season passes are valid October 26th – 28th and will be available for purchase onsite at a discounted rate.  Due to limited terrain, beginner terrain or ski school will be available this weekend.
