Two Weeks of Fall Fun During the Tahoe City Harvest Festival

The Tahoe City Downtown Association presents the 7th Annual Tahoe City Harvest Festival,  Saturday, October 8th through Saturday, October 22nd, with fun events and activities for the whole family.

Celebrate the changing of the seasons in Tahoe City. The Tahoe City Harvest Festival, extended to two weeks includes the Cobblestone Oktoberfest on October 8th and the Tahoe City Public Utility District Parks & Recreation Department Pumpkin Patch Carnival on October 22nd.

The Cobblestone Oktoberfest is a lively community gathering with activities for the whole family. Enjoy a selection of seasonal brews, BBQ sausages and wieners, fresh-made fruit desserts and ice cream, fun games and crafts for kids of all ages, and live music from, appropriately enough, The Beer Gardeners. The event runs from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

In addition, throughout the month, enjoy the popular Scarecrows-On-Parade, featuring numerous creatively decorated and Tahoe-oriented scarecrows throughout downtown Tahoe City.

A new Harvest Festival event this year will benefit Snowfest, North Lake Tahoe's acclaimed winter carnival. The Snowfest Scarecrow Sprint & Stroll on Saturday, October 8th, is a “fun walk/run” on the Truckee River bike path starting at 11:00 am at River Ranch, at Hwy 89 and Alpine Meadows Rd, and ending to The Bridgetender, just south of Tahoe City on Hwy 89 at Fanny Bridge. Costumes are encouraged and a costume contest will follow the Sprint & Stroll at the Cobblestone Oktoberfest.
