Tahoe City to Host Intimate Lakeside Farm-to-Table Dinner

Tahoe City’s first-ever Farm-to-Table Dinner, a fundraiser to support the continued efforts of the local agency partnerships committed to ensuring a permanent and sustainable Farmer’s Market in Tahoe City, will take place on Commons Beach on Tuesday, July 19 at 6 p.m.

This exclusive, one-of-a-kind event will be limited to one hundred guests and features fresh menu items prepared with local food chosen specifically from the Tahoe City Farmer’s Market. Guests will enjoy an elegant beach-front dinner setting with passed hors d’oeuvres followed by a four-course menu prepared by Douglas Dale of Wolfdale’s Cuisine Unique, Scott Yorkey of Jake’s On The Lake, David Lutz of Evergreen Restaurant and Andrew Schimer of Christy Hill. Guests will also enjoy local wines from the Placer County Vintners Association and live music from George Souza.

Proceeds from the event will support the continued efforts of the Tahoe City Downtown Association, Tahoe City Public Utility District and Foothill Farmers Market Association partnership to ensure a permanent and sustainable Farmers Market in Tahoe City.

When asked about the chance to help sustain Tahoe City’s Farmers Market the local chef’s jumped at the chance.

“This is going to be an amazing evening on the beach,” said renowned chef Douglas Dale, owner of Wolfdale’s Cuisine Unique. “We’re featuring local chefs and food purchased right here at our Farmer's Market. Even if I wasn’t cooking, I wouldn’t miss this event.”

Tickets and reservations to Tahoe City’s first-ever Farm-to-Table Dinner can be purchased online at www.VisitTahoeCity.com or in person at Wolfdale’s Cuisine Unique in Tahoe City at 640 North Lake Blvd. Tickets start at $125 per person or up to $1,600 for one of three VIP tables (seats 10).
