Tahoe Community Gets In The Mood, Raises Over $9000

An estimated 700+ members of Lake Tahoe's informal 'Snow Tribe' celebrated the exceptional start of the season and drummed up community spirit at the 15th annual 'In The Mood' photography and video exposition held at Resort at Squaw Creek Wednesday, Dec. 1st.

Tahoe TV's Karey Todd was there to capture the vibe and get some insights from eager skiers and riders.

The event, which is free, included an expansive raffle and silent auction with proceeds benefiting the Tahoe Forest Cancer Center. Despite the tough economic times, the Tahoe community stepped up in a big way. This year's raffle topped previous years' efforts, generating $9265 in proceeds.

The evening also celebrated the life of Robert "Fro" Frohlich, the event's founder and a well-known local writer and journalist, who passed away in October after a long battle with cancer.
