The well publicized November storm delivered as promised this weekend, dropping nearly two feet of snow at lake level and over four feet at Tahoe's numerous resorts.

While the Tahoe region is no stranger to this sort of fast, heavy storm and snow totals in feet, this ones early season timing has got everyone cautiously optimistic about the coming season.

Palisades Tahoe, Northstar, Heavenly and other resorts are already open for the season, and there are many more to follow in the days and weeks ahead.

Tahoe Cross Country just outside of Tahoe City, has marked their earliest opening ever.
