Swimming The Length of Lake Tahoe - Twice

Ultra marathoner, long distance swimmer, and water conservation evangelist Jamie Patrick will attempt to swim the length of Lake Tahoe - twice - this weekend, to break his own and all other known records for Tahoe swims.

Tahoe TV caught a few minutes with Patrick on the deck of Jake's on the Lake, the official headquarters for following and celebrating his bold crossing, and asked enough questions to put together an insightful video segment about this unique individual, his passion for swimming, and his cause for water conservation.

Patrick plans to hit the water Friday afternoon at the Hyatt Lake Tahoe beach, swim overnight to South Lake Tahoe, turn around, and swim back to the Hyatt. His projected arrival Saturday afternoon is at around 4pm. Jake's on the Lake in Tahoe City, is serving as the official support/celebration center and will hold a start party Friday evening as well as a barbecue starting at 11am on Saturday. Ongoing progress reports, maps, and more will be available through the day on Saturday.
