Numerous fireworks displays will light up the sky around Lake Tahoe and over Reno and Sparks throughout the Independence Day weekend. For a look at last summer's fireworks display in Tahoe City, see the Tahoe TV video above.

Lake Tahoe's lakeside fireworks shows are a favorite for visitors and locals alike and the action begins on Friday, July 2nd as Incline Village kicks off its 'Red, White, and Tahoe Blue' celebration which runs through the weekend.

Kings Beach will hold a fireworks show on Saturday, July 3rd off of the State Beach.

Tahoe City follows on July 4th with an afternoon concert and fireworks on Commons Beach, and across the lake, South Lake Tahoe holds the "Lights on the Lake" celebration Sunday evening as well.

The annual 4th of July Parade rolls through Historic Downtown Truckee on Sunday morning, and a fireworks display will be held at the West End of Donner Lake Sunday night.

Elsewhere around the region, in Reno the Aces ballpark will hold an all-day celebration on the 4th, including a fireworks display. "Star Spangled Sparks" is an all-day celebration with fireworks at the Sparks Marina. And, Virginia City lights up the sky as well on Sunday evening.
