The Tahoe City Downtown Association has announced the first round of this summer's robust event calendar, bringing more activities, events, and good times to the North Shore than ever.

Visitors and locals alike can expect another fantastic year of the popular Concerts on Commons Beach as well as an all-new revamped Tahoe City Wine Walk as part of our annual Heart & Solstice Festival, June 16-21.

Here's a quick look at the first round of events this summer:

• May 20th - Opening day of Tahoe City Farmers Market
• May 30th - Opening Day on The Lake on the West Shore
• June 5th - Truckee/Tahoe Xtreme Clean-up Day
• June 10th - TCDA Annual Fundraiser on the Tahoe Gal (NEW!!)
• June 16th - Solstice Stroll Classic Car Show
• June 18th - One Night Only - Evening of Performing Arts on Commons Beach (NEW!!)
• June 19th - Tahoe City Paddlefest and Tahoe City Wine Walk
• June 20th - Opening Day of Concerts on Commons Beach and Burton Creek Trail Run
• June 26th - First Heritage Plaza Unplugged afternoon concert
• July 4th - Annual Tahoe City 4th of July Fireworks and Celebration

Pedal There Program starts May 20th
It's that time of year. Get your bikes out and tuned up for a ride to the Farmers Market in Tahoe City. This year's cyclists can sign their Pedal There Committment Cards at the TCDA Farmers Market booth every Thursday all summer long. A variety of bike events and promotions are planned throughout the summer, kicking off with our support of the Tahoe Bike Challenge on May 24th. This year's Bike to Work, School and Play Challenge is two weeks long and currently taking registrations. Visit TahoeBike.org for more info.

Great Truckee/Tahoe Xtreme Clean 2010 - June 5th
What a difference a little collaboration can make! Thanks to a few phone calls and persistent effort from good friends and partners over at the NTBA,  the TCDA has joined forces with Truckee, Kings Beach and Incline Village to host the FIRST EVER North Shore and Truckee wide Community Clean Up day!

 In the past you may have seen the Cub Scouts around town with trash bags. Well this year it's on all of us to help out and make Tahoe City shine. TCDA will host a check-in station at Commons Beach on Saturday, June 5th from 8am-noon, where volunteers can pick up bags to fill with litter.
