Truckee-Tahoe singer, songwriter and recording artist Emily Tessmer took to the field and belted out the Star Spangled Banner to open the Reno Aces baseball game Wednesday evening.

Although the air was unseasonably cool, the mood was high as Tessmer gave the crowd a personal rendition of the National Anthem.

Tessmer, who is well known around Truckee and Lake Tahoe, performs regularly at area clubs, coffeehouses and restaurants. She will be peforming a benefit show at River Ranch on May 7th, and Jake's on the Lake in Tahoe City on May 14th.
