Meet the Squaw Patrol Dogs at Gallery Keoki
On April 3rd, Gallery Keoki in the Village at Palisades Tahoe, presents a chance to meet one of the Palisades Tahoe Ski Patrol dogs in a special event being held to help support the SVSP Rescue Dog program and the Avalanche Education Fund.
Palisades Tahoe Ski Patroller Peter York and his dog Tucker will be at Gallery Keoki on Saturday, April 3rd from 1-3PM to discuss avalanche awareness, RECCO and the Palisades Tahoe Ski Patrol dog program. The dogs provide a service not only to the Palisades Tahoe skiing and riding community but to the greater Lake Tahoe community and beyond. All of the dog teams are also members of the Placer County Sheriff's Search & Rescue Tahoe Dogs Team. Several of the Palisades Tahoe dogs and their handlers also traveled to Vancouver, BC this February to assist in the Olympic Winter Games.
Free dog treat samples will be available courtesy of Scraps Bakery.
Gallery Keoki is located in the Village at Palisades Tahoe and is home to Keoki Flagg, a renowned action sports photographer who is also known for his photographs of the Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Meadows' patrol dogs on the slopes. The gallery will donate a portion of it's sales on Saturday to the non-profits and SVSP Dog T-shirts will be available for purchase.
