Free Guided Historic Walking Tours of Tahoe City

The North Lake Tahoe Historical Association presents guided historic walking tours of Tahoe City.

HISTORIC TOUR
Legends, facts, history, shopping and dining tips! Visitors to Tahoe City can experience the NLTHS’ guided walking tour of Tahoe City for FREE.  Lead by local resident, Karen Willcuts and her professionally-trained guides, the fun and interesting tour includes facts and figures about beautiful Lake Tahoe, as well as information about the stunning wilderness surrounding the majestic mountain lake.  Lake Tahoe’s colorful history will unfold in fun stories and legends about the people who have called The Lake home.  After the tour, visitors will have a better appreciation about their pristine surroundings as well as knowledge about the best places to eat, shop, and enjoy Tahoe City.

What:  Historic Walking Tour of Tahoe City
Meeting place:  Outside the Blue Agave Restaurant, 425 N. Lake Blvd, Tahoe City, Ca.  96145

Meeting time:  10AM

Duration:  About 1.5 hours

Distance:  About 1 mile on a mostly flat path.

Ending location:  Gatekeeper's Museum - at the 'Y' in Tahoe City, just south of The Lake Tahoe Outlet Dam (Fanny Bridge).

Price:  Free, however you will be given the opportunity to make a donation to the North Lake Tahoe Historical Society.  For your $5 donation, you will be invited into the museum for free that day.



Other information:  please park in public parking lots or at the Gatekeeper's Museum.  Leashed well behaved dogs are welcome.  This tour is family-friendly however it probably won't be exciting for very young children.
