Unchanging Lake Tahoe

Nature, with its springtimes of inspiration, its summers of work, its autumns of completion, and its winters of rest and contemplation, is a constant upon which we can depend. It's the natural alternative to synthetic stimulation and excitement.

"At last the lake burst upon us--a noble sheet of blue water lifted six thousand three hundred feet above the level of the sea, and walled in by a rim of snow-clad mountain peaks that towered aloft a full three thousand feet higher still. I thought it must surely be the fairest picture the whole earth affords." --Mark Twain

"To believe your own thought, to believe that what is true of you in your private heart is true for all men--that is genius." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

"To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield." --Alfred Lord Tennyson

And on the road of life...

"Don't cross the bridge until you come to it." --Proverb

"I love thee with the breath, smiles, tears, of all my life! And if God chose, I shall but love thee better after death." --Elizabeth Barrett Browning
