Tahoe City hosts two weekends of fall fun kicking off on October 5th with the Scarecrow Sprint & Stroll and the popular Cobblestone Oktoberfest. The following weekend brings two brand new events to the lakeside town – an Urban Iditerod and the inaugural Tahoe City Grill Fest.

Saturday, Oct. 5

SNOWFEST! SCARECROW SPRINT & STROLL: Join North Tahoe community members for a trail run along the new Tahoe City Lakeside Trail. Start at Commons Beach in Tahoe City and run the 5K or 10K. Kids races, costume contest and Oktoberfest Celebration.

COBBLESTONE OKTOBERFEST: An annual community event held in the Cobblestone Mall in the center of town, the Cobblestone Oktoberfest features beer, games, food, live music and a hearty and healthy community vibe, as neighbors and visitors gather to celebrate the fall season. This year's live music is by Groove Foundry. All ages are welcome and kids will love the variety of games.

Saturday, Oct. 12

URBAN IDITEROD: New this year.. Borrowing  the name ‘iditarod’ from the Alaskan dog sled race and replacing the dogs with people (you) and the sleds with shopping carts, add in team themes, costumes, contests and a food drive and we get the Tahoe City Urban Iditarod.  If you like urban race and adventures you’ll love the Tahoe City Urban Iditarod. Urban Iditarods have been taking place in cities (San Francisco, Portland, NYC, Chicago and Boston to name a few) all over the country, The Tahoe City Urban Iditarod brings this over the top fun-for-all event to Lake Tahoe!

TAHOE CITY GRILL FEST: following the Urban Iditerod, the Inaugural Tahoe City Grill Fest comes to the Tahoe City Marina/Boatworks on Saturday with food, cold brews, fun, music and more.   Local BBQ experts will bring their best to a friendly throwdown with rival chefs for awards in several categories, but more importantly for coveted bragging rights.
