Tahoe Resorts Offer Halloween Skiing
Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe
Cold temps in recent days and round the clock snowmaking, have allowed Mt Rose-Ski Tahoe to achieve their goal of opening by Halloween, with an early-season opening now scheduled for Friday, October 30th.
"We started snowmaking on Tuesday night," commented Kayla Anderson, the resort's PR Manager. "In three days, we've been able to make a lot of snow."
The resort plans to operate the Flying Jenny surface lift, accessing the Show-Off run, from Friday through Sunday, from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. Terrain Park features will also be set up on the run.
"We're excited to be open and look forward to a very special Halloween." added Anderson.
Reduced price lift tickets are available for $20 for ages 13 & over and $10 for ages 6-12. Ages 5 and under ski free. On Saturday, skiers and riders in costume will received an additional $5 off.
The Mt. Rose main lodge will be open with Timbers Bar offering food and drinks. Ski School and Rental Shop services will not be available. Season leases may be picked up on the lower level.
