Tahoe Donner Driving Range Open
The Tahoe Donner Driving Range is is now open for the season. Weather and conditions permitting, the golf course will open on Friday, May 18. A mild winter has paved the way for early spring golf in the high Sierra, and enabled staff to open the course one month earlier than 2011.
“The combination of sunshine, warm weather and hard work from our golf course maintenance crew means we’re going to have enjoyable spring golf for our members, guests and the general public,” said Ed Leinenkugel, director of golf.
Tahoe Donner offers golf season passes and a variety of packs and passes available for purchase. The Four Pack is a new offering for 2012 and includes four rounds for $316. The Four Pack can be used on one foursome or on four individual rounds on different days. The Four Pack must be used any time before June 29 or after September 3. Tahoe Donner homeowners may book tee times up to 14 days in advance. The general public may book tee times up to 12 days in advance.
The Tahoe Donner golf instruction menu continues to grow and includes new clinics and refresher lessons all season long. A new offering is the Golf Get Ready program, which includes five group lessons for just $99.
“The Golf Get Ready lessons are perfect for the beginning golfer, as well as someone who might wish to brush up on some skills and learn a few new pointers before diving into the golf season, “ Leinenkugel said. “We know it’s going to be a fantastic summer ahead, so we want to help everyone get ready to enjoy it!”
