Palisades Tahoe Update: New Activities, Sunset Dinners, Events

Palisades Tahoe USA has kicked into high gear with the launch of several new summer activities and a huge list of events and attractions. Take a look at the new Mountain Top Paintball Course and the shiny new bike fleet.

On the mountain, High Camp, at el. 8200' continues to be the center of activity for summer fun. This year, in addition to the popular summer ice skating and the swimming lagoon and spa, Palisades Tahoe is adding several new activities.

A brand new high-altitude (touted as the highest in the states) paintball course is now open at High Camp featuring a custom course that takes participants along the ridgetop below High Camp.

Its been several years since mountain biking was offered at Palisades Tahoe, but this year it returns, with a slew of upgraded trails and a brand new fleet of mountain bikes for rent. The course is slated to open on July 16th. Bikes, helmets and gear can be rented at the main rental shop on the lower mountain. Performance mountain bikes are available, as well as a selection of street bikes for those just headed down the bike trail.

High Camp is also the only mountain top restaurant around Lake Tahoe. High Camp serves lunch daily at the Poolside Cafe and outdoor barbecue, and the popular Sunset Dinners begin on July 2nd.

Cable Car and High Camp activity packages are available for purchase in the Cable Car building at the base of the mountain.

Other activities this summer include weekly Sunset Hikes and Stargazing sessions, and a number of events, including the Wild West Weekend on July 10th and 11th, and the annual Soaring Kites and Music Festival on July 17th.
