SNOWLIVE II Storms In To Tahoe

North Tahoe's epicenter of entertainment, the Crystal Bay Casino, in conjunction with Soulive and Royal Family Records presents four nights of soul, rock and funk, featuring some of the most innovative and talented musicians from today's scene as well as veteran performers from the roots of popular music.

Roughly four years ago, the band Soulive decided to get together with the owner of a new venue in Willamsburg, N.Y. called The Brooklyn Bowl and establish a residency over a few nights that would include several surprise guests. This residency wound up being called Bowlive. Over the past two years Bowlive has seen several top flight announced special guests along with an almost constant flow of surprise un-announced guests. Some of the players included, Maceo Parker, Talib Kweli, Bernie Worrell, Kofi and Otiel Burbridge, Karl Denson, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, the list goes on and on.

In 2011, Crystal Bay Casino, on Lake Tahoe's North Shore, having featured Soulive many times over the years, had the idea of having a similar event on the West Coast, what is now Snowlive. Now in its second year, Snowlive has quickly risen to become one of Lake Tahoe’s premier annual musical events.

The lineup of participating musicians and performers for this year's Snowlive is extensive. So much so that literally no-one knows exactly what the final cast will be from night to night. At it's core, a series of featured guests will perform each night with one of the world's favorite funk trios, Soulive. Each of these shows would hold their own on any given night. The fact that such great players will be here over the four night period leads one to believe that anything, including musical magic, could happen.
