Thursday, March 10th
NEW! Arbor Care of Tahoe - "Tahoe Man" Contest - See who's the best "Tahoe Man" today at the contest that shows us who's the toughest, and best mountain man! Watch this event of men at their finest as they split wood, stack wood, shovel and put chains on! All you women out there, this is where you want to come and find your Tahoe Dream Man! Carhart's and flannel encouraged! Tahoe City Golf Course - 4pm.

Pete 'n Peter's Fastest Server Contest - See your favorite “Servers” of all kinds battle against each through the obstacle course, and onto the "posing platform" to win the title of “best server" on the North Shore of the Lake! Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd! Sign up at Pete 'n Peter's ahead of time! Pete 'n Peter's - Tahoe City. 8pm.

Rosie's Bingo Night - Join in the fun at a long lost event from years past! Bingo, folks! Yep, get your glasses on and get ready for the lucky numbers to be drawn! Lot's of fun to be had by all! Rosie's Cafe - Tahoe City. 9-11pm.

Friday, March 11th
Bridgetender Rib Fest - Enjoy the great Ribs at the BT at the 4th Annual Rib Fest! An outdoor extravaganza of BBQ’d Ribs takes place on the outside patio & bar of the BT. It’s like being in a snow cave, with lots of great ribs & drink to be had by all! A Portion of the Proceeds to benefit the Chris Park Scholarship Fund. Bridgetender Restaurant - just south of the Y in Tahoe City. 4-7pm.

Saturday, March 12th
NEW! Sugar Bowl "Silver Belt Banzai" - Day One Qualifiers - Ski-Cross action meets Downhill speed in the third and final event of the Rahlves' Banzai Series, the Silver Belt Banzai. This fast action race pits racers 4 at a time down the Silver Belt Gully in Sugar Bowl's signature event. Finals are on Sunday. For details, visit www.rahlvesbanzai.com.

TNT/TMA Dress Up Your Dog Contest'- A local’s favorite is back this year, sponsored by the Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Mgmt Association. Bring your pooch in their "finest or funniest" attire for this fabulous dog dress up contest! There are prizes for Most Original, Looks Most Like Owner, Best Transit, and Best Overall! Proceeds benefit our local transit program, so make sure you catch the FREE night rider during SnowFest! North Tahoe Event Center, Kings Beach. 9:30am.

Kings Beach 'Winter Fun Snowfest Parade- Come out for the SnowFest! Kings Beach Celebration  Parade, presented by the North Tahoe Business Association. This parade has grown tons in the past few years and is definitely not something to be missed. Lots of color, beads, and fun to be had by all! 11:30am through Kings Beach on the main drag.

Sunday, March 13th - Note: Daylight Savings Time begins! Turn your clocks ahead!

Sugar Bowl "Silver Belt Banzai" - Finals. Sugar Bowl resort. www.sugarbowl.com.

Quicksilver Ta-Hoe-Nalu "Arctic Standup Paddleboard Race" - Come on out and get your chill on for this annual SnowFest event! A 1 mile Stand-Up Paddle Sprint Race, on Lake Tahoe….and YES, in March!! Make sure to stick around afterwards for the festivities including music by the Truckee Tribe! Ages-18 +. Paddling takes place on the beach at the intersection of Hwy 267 and North Lake Blvd. After-party at the Blue Onion Cafe. 11am.

Tahoe Donner Association Ididarun - This Donner Party-themed dog pull race will pit dogs against the clock while pulling covered wagon sleds over a snow covered track. This is in a beautiful, safe environment and you can either view it from the comfort of the pub or under the heaters on the deck. Proceeds to benefit the Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe.. www.tahoedonner.com. 1pm at The Lodge restaurant in Tahoe Donner.

River Ranch "Snow Sculpture Contest" - Twelve invited teams build themed snow sculptures to be judged! Prizes awarded to the best teams. There is definitely some creativity going on at this one! Everyone looks forward to this final day event! Live music, BBQ & drink specials. River Ranch Lodge. Hwy 89 at Alpine Meadows Rd. Noon-5pm.

Tahoe Cross Country Gourmet Ski Tour - The 10th Annual Gourmet Ski Tour takes place today at the Tahoe XC Center! This great event entails x-country skiing or snowshoeing along the trails while sampling food from the finest North Shore Restaurants! This fabulous event finishes off at the Day Lodge with live music until 5pm, along with refreshments. Tahoe Cross Country. 1-3pm.
