Sam Bush & Dead Winter Carpenters Set for Tahoe Donner Outdoor Concert

Sam Bush, coined the 'King of New Grass', takes to the stage on Saturday, July 21, at the Tahoe Donner Driving Range for the 2012 Tahoe Donner Outdoor Summer Concert on the Green. The three-time Grammy award winning artist will be joined by Tahoe favorites, the Dead Winter Carpenters, who are set to open the show starting at 6:30 p.m.

With two acts performing this year, the evening will be filled with a dynamic combination of Sam Bush’s signature New Grass – a genre that takes traditional acoustic bluegrass and adds a little electricity with rock and jazz influences – and the Dead Winter Carpenter’s eclectic mix of rock, country folk, bluegrass and world music. The natural landscape of the driving range provides a beautiful setting for a perfect outdoor summer concert.

“You don’t want to miss this show. It’s hard to top the beautiful location and this year’s line-up of the legendary Sam Bush and local superstars Dead Winter Carpenters,” said Amanda Birchenough, marketing communications manager. “Pack your own picnic and get ready for an incredible evening at Tahoe Donner!”

Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic or indulge in food and beverage offerings available for purchase at the event. Parking is free. Gates open at 5 p.m.

Dead Winter Carpenters open the show at 6:30 p.m.
