PUSH Team Reaches South Pole

The PUSH team, including adaptive athlete Grant Korgan, announced Tuesday their successful arrival at the South Pole, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of Robert Falcon Scott's expedition.

Details are as yet forthcoming, but according to the PUSH website and a variety of posts/tweets on Facebook and Twitter, the team did arrive as planned on January 17th, making Grant Korgan the first adaptive athlete in history to reach the South Pole.

In a tweet posted Tuesday evening, Korgan said: "Although my body has been broken, my spirit never will be. I am unbreakable!" - Grant Korgan, South Pole 2012.

A homecoming reception for the team is planned for January 31st. For more information and updates on the team's journey and their scheduled return home, visit www.southpolepush.com.
