Passport to Dining Expands for 2013
North Tahoe Business Association is gearing up for the 9th Annual Passport to Dining, North Tahoe’s most affordable all-you-can-eat and drink event, on Thursday, November 14, 2013, from 6 to 9pm at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach.
Passport to Dining is a not-to-miss fall social gathering featuring tastings from local restaurants, caterers, breweries, wineries and distilleries as well as a silent auction. The event is North Tahoe Business Association’s (NTBA) most important fundraiser.
Due to the significant growth in attendance in 2012, this year the event will utilize the entire North Tahoe Event Center and feature additional tasting stations providing a greater variety of tastings and more room to mingle, socialize and enjoy. Confirmed food, beer and spirits participants include Bilty's Brew & Q, Bella Affair, The Brewing Lair, Cable Car Ice Cream, Caliente!, CB's Pizza & Grill, The Grid Bar and Grill, Jack Rabbit Moon, Jason's Beachside Grille, Lanza's Restaurant, Las Panchitas, Men Wielding Fire, Nine 41, Nor Cal Beverage, North Tahoe Catering, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, The Soule Domain, The Souper Wagon, Steamer's Beach Side Bar & Oven, Tahoe Blue Vodka, Tahoe Moonshine, Tahoe Teas, Picnic and Waterman's Landing.
New this year, NTBA is partnering with Placer County Vintners Association which includes eighteen family-owned and operated boutique wineries in Auburn, Lincoln, Loomis, and Newcastle. “As North Lake Tahoe’s local wine region, it makes perfect sense for Placer County Wine Trail to partner with NTBA on Passport to Dining,” says Jocelyn Maddux of Lone Buffalo Vineyards. Nine Placer County Wine Trail wineries will offer wine tastings from their boutique vineyards at the event; wineries/vintners include Bonitatia Boutique Wine, Dono dal Cielo, Fawnridge, Green Family, Lone Buffalo, Mt. Vernon, Vina Castellano and Wise Villa Winery.
Passport to Dining’s silent auction is quickly becoming recognized as one of the best in North Lake Tahoe because of the quality, quantity and variety of items that are included. Attendees are able to pick up terrific items including Northern California Getaway Packages and many additional valuable items and packages at a great value.
NTBA will donate a portion of Passport to Dining net proceeds to Community House, a new, welcoming place in the heart of Kings Beach, offering integrated services from Project MANA, Tahoe SAFE Alliance, North Tahoe Family Resource Center and more.
$35 advance tickets are available online at www.NorthTahoeBusiness.org while supplies last. Each ticket includes unlimited, responsible tastings at the event and a Placer County Wine Tasting Pass, valid for complimentary tasting for two people, or 10% discount on purchases when visiting Placer County Wine Trail wineries.
