Music on the Beach, the free 9-week concert series at Kings Beach State Recreation Area kicks off tonight, June 27, 6:00-8:30 p.m. with live music from the Blues Monsters and a great good-time scene on the sand in Kings Beach.

A wide variety of music genres with mostly local and some regional performers will be featured in this summer's series, including Kings Beach's own, Blues Monsters on June 27 sponsored by Rockwood Tree Service, high energy funk band Drop Theory on July 11 sponsored by Ogilvy Consulting and Bervid Custom Building, and Honky Tonk/Rock & Roll band Miss Lonely Hearts on July 18 sponsored by Char-Pit.

Music on the Beach takes place every Friday evening until August 29, excluding July 4.  is a great way to get your summer weekend started. Come enjoy the laid-back mountain beach town feel in one of the most beautiful, natural settings with spectacular sunsets.
