July 3rd Annual Beach Party & Fireworks

Start the party a day early! Fourth of July revelers will have the opportunity to start celebrating the holiday a day early in Kings Beach at the annual July 3rd Fireworks Celebration & Beach Party. This year, the festivities will include activities for attendees to enjoy and participate in during the late afternoon and into the evening in celebration of Independence Day.

From News Release...

On Thursday, July 3 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., the North Tahoe Business Association will host a Beach Party as a Kings Beach Fireworks fundraiser. The event is open to all ages and will feature preferred seating, food vendors, a beer/wine and mixed drink garden, free watermelon eating, sand castle building and patriotic costume contests, free games, music, live entertainment, glow toys, souvenirs, all capped off by a dazzling fireworks display at 9:30pm! Beach Party entrance is free and will take place outside of the North Tahoe Event Center with a spectacular view of Lake Tahoe and the fireworks can be viewed anywhere from Kings Beach State Recreation Area, one of the most popular and best beaches around the lake.

Entrance into the Beach Party is free; all preferred seating, drink and souvenir proceeds support the Kings Beach July 3rd Fireworks.

“Many are surprised to learn that fireworks cost approximately $1,000 per minute. To offset the high cost, North Tahoe Business Association puts on a Beach Party as a fundraiser and invites everyone to attend and support the fireworks at this fun, community celebration,” said Joy Doyle, executive director of the North Tahoe Business Association.

Back by popular demand, preferred fireworks seating is available for $12/person. Ticket buyers can secure their seats starting at 4pm and will also have access to indoor restrooms at North Tahoe Event Center. There are a limited number of tickets available; purchase ahead of time as they typically sell out before July 3. Purchase preferred seating tickets online at www.NorthTahoeBusiness.org while supplies last.

Please walk, bike or use public transportation to get to North Tahoe Event Center and Kings Beach State Recreation Area. For public transportation options, please visit, www.laketahoetransit.com. If you drive, please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to park and get to the venue.

Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of tasks including set-up, ID checkers, ticket takers, ushers, security, merchandise sales, donation collections, and breakdown.  Volunteers are asked to work a 4-hour shift and in return receive a free drink coupon redeemable at Music on the Beach. To volunteer, please contact patty@northtahoebusiness.org.
