From News Release...
HOMEWOOD, Calif. (Dec. 9, 2013) – Homewood Mountain Resort is excited to announce an early opening for the 2013-14 ski season – Wednesday, Dec. 11 – along with free skiing and snowboarding on Opening Day.
Recent storms dropped a total of 27 inches of fresh snow on the resort, located on Lake Tahoe’s west shore, which augmented the base layer created by Homewood’s snowmaking crew over the past seven days.
Homewood will open on Wednesday with the Happy Platter surface lift, Magic Carpet beginner runs and Happy Park terrain park available from the resort’s North Lodge. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, guests will be able to enjoy a selection of hot lunch items at the North Lodge Café Grill, a full retail store with gift ideas for skiers and riders, and both child and adult ski and snowboard lessons and rentals.
In honor of the early opening, Homewood is happy to offer all guests free lift tickets on Wednesday, Dec. 11. Guests simply need to check in at any Homewood ticket window to receive their complimentary lift ticket.
After Wednesday, Homewood will offer early-season lift ticket pricing of $29 Sunday – Friday and $39 on Saturdays until the resort is able to open additional terrain to the public. Please see SkiHomewood.com for updates on terrain available, ticket pricing and snow updates.
