Wednesday, Oct 28: The Village at Squaw Valley's Halloween festivities kick into high gear with the guess the weight of the enormous pumpkin contest.

Thursday, Oct 29:
Cedar House Sport Hotel hosts a special Fresh From the Farm cooking class, and Sunnyside hosts their annual Pumpkin Carving Contest.

Friday, Oct 30:
Celebrate Nevada's birthday into statehood in Carson City through Sunday with three days of food, music, events, and the largest parade in the state. Downtown Truckee holds a pumpkin carving contest at the Train Depot

Saturday, Oct. 31:
Happy Halloween! Take your pick - there are parties and events everywhere, including Trick or Treating in downtown Truckee, Boatworks Mall in Tahoe City, the Village at Squaw Valley, and many other locations around the lake. Check out the Truckee Hotel's Haunted House and the wild and popular Halloween Bash and season opening party at Le Chamois in Palisades Tahoe. Or, howl by the lake at Jakes on the Lake, or the Creeper's Ball at the Crystal Bay Casino.

Sunday, Nov 1:
Wake up and wonder what time it really is, and then shake your sillies out at the Girls on the Run 5k Halloween Fun Run in Truckee.

Moody's Lines up the jazz with the George Souza Trio both Friday and Saturday. Jakes on the Lake has The Nut Boyz in the grill Friday night and DJ Ryu on Saturday.
