It’s been 38 years since we last celebrated a Triple Crown Winner and Crystal Bay Casino is holding a a Triple Crown Gala to celebrate and cheer on California Chrome, Saturday, June 7th. Post time for The Run for the Carnations is 3:35 but the party starts earlier!

Triple Crown Gala at the CBC
It’s been 38 years since we last celebrated a Triple Crown Winner. Come join the fun on Saturday, June 7th at the CBC. Post time for The Run for the Carnations is 3:35. Speaking of carnations we will have plenty on hand. Two hundred carnations will be available for free in the Crown Room on a first come first served basis.

The festivities in the Crown Room start at noon with sign-ups for our free $500.00 Video Poker Slot Tournament kicking off at 11:00. Just sign up for the Player’s Club and entry is free. At noon play for a chance at your share of $500.00 in free slot play.

Also at noon sample our chef served Steak & Lobster House “Triple Crown of Appetizers” for $3.00. That’s $3.00 per plate with three apps per plate. Mix and match whatever combination moves you. Appetizers will be served in the Crown Room from noon till post time.

The Triple Crown of Appetizers ($3.00 per plate w/ three items)

• Dry aged New York strip steak, potato crisp, grilled sweet corn purée
• Filo tartlet with smoked salmon, cracked pepper and citrus
• Prosciutto wrapped Alaskan halibut and rosemary skewers with lemon aioli

Of course we will be serving all of our regular libations but we also will feature our very own interpretation of the “Belmont Breeze” (the official beverage of the Belmont Stakes) for $1.00 from noon till post time. That’s a buck for a very healthy, well at least tasty, cocktail.

Player’s Club members will also have a shot at picking a “Triple Crown Square.” Simply pick a square and we will randomly assign a horse to each square. Should your horse win we will award you five times the morning odds as posted in our sports book. For example if your horse is listed as a five to one shot and wins you will receive $25.00 in free slot play.
