Adventure Sports Week's Final Weekend

Competitors and spectators will flock to Tahoe City for the final weekend of Adventure Sports Week, presented by Big Blue Adventures, with a huge day of competitive XTERRA events on Saturday, and the Run To Squaw on Sunday.

Known as Lake Tahoe's 'premier outdoor lifestyle event, Adventure Sports Week combines numerous competitive and recreational events with a variety of clinics, demos, and community and cultural events and festivities around North Lake Tahoe.

This final weekend wraps up what is actually two weeks of activities, having begun on June 14th with the Thunderbird paddleboard races. The marquee fina event is the XTERRA Tahoe City, which includes three races, all centered around Tahoe City. Sundays competitive event, the Run To Squaw, is part of the Tahoe Trail Running Series and gives runners of all abilities a chance to enjoy spectacular views along the Truckee River on the fast, 7.9 mile route from Tahoe City to Palisades Tahoe. The festivities wrap up on Sunday afternoon at Tahoe City's free Concerts on Commons Beach, this week featuring opening act 'Jelly Bread' and headliner 'Peter Joseph Burtt and the King Tide'.
