Tahoe City gathered multiple times this past week to celebrate the completion and opening of the Lakeside Trail, connecting the West Shore, North Shore and Palisades Tahoe's multi-use trail system. Tahoe TV was there to capture the scene.
The USGS is reporting a 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred near Truckee at approximately 8:51 pm Friday evening. Reports indicate that the quake was felt across the region in both California and Nevada. Aftershocks have occurred Saturday morning.

Northstar’s popular mountain bike park and lift served hiking trails are scheduled to open for the summer season on Friday, June 15.
