Squaw Hosts Annual Cushing Crossing Sat. April 12

The 24th Annual Lake Cushing Crossing returns to Palisades Tahoe Saturday, April 12 with all the usual antics and spectacle as participants attempt to cross the chilly waters of Cushing Pond on skis, a snowboard or any ski or snowboard-based vessel including ultra-creative pond skimming contraptions and hilarious costumes.

The Pain McShlonkey Classic (PMS), touted as the 'greatest ski competition known to man or woman', returns to Palisades Tahoe March 29th for its fourth straight year of action-packed events in a hilarious tribute to legendary skier Shane McConkey. New to this year's event is a Snowblade Ballet Competition.

Olympian Homecoming Celebration at Squaw Friday

Palisades Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe community will celebrate the return of Lake Tahoe’s athletes from the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi with an Olympic Homecoming Celebration, complete with live music, parade, fireworks, and appearances by Olympic medalists Mikaela Shiffrin, Andrew Weibrecht, and Julia Mancuso. The welcome home party begins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 21 at the KT Base Bar in The Village at Palisades Tahoe.
