The sky is falling once again during the annual Perseid Meteor Shower. On Friday, August 12, there will be a Perseid Meteor Shower Family Campout. Reservations are necessary. Please call 1-530-583-6985 to make your reservation today.

The night sky at High Camp offers amazing views of the Perseid Meteor Shower and our professional stargazers are on site with high powered telescopes, binoculars and specialized guidance for viewing of colorful fireballs, outbursts and streaking meteors.

5pm -7:30pm:  Camper Upload (last upload at 8pm.  Check in at the Cable Car ticket window
5pm-7:30pm:  Optional dinner at the Poolside Café, High Camp (not included in price)
5pm-9pm:  Camp set up
6:30pm-7:15pm:  The Earth is a Peppercorn:  A Guided Walk Through the Solar System (optional)       
8:00:  The Sky Tonight:  Meteors, Planets and More:  Perseid Meteor Shower Discussion and  Camping Overview 
10pm-5am:  Camping and Perseid Viewing
7:30-8:30am:  Continental Breakfast
5am-9:30am:  Camp breakdown
