One of the biggest events to come to Lake Tahoe since the VIII Winter Olympics, the AMGEN Tour of California will come rumbling around Lake Tahoe.

Catch the start of stage 2 right here at Palisades Tahoe USA on Monday May 16. The second stage starts at 10:15am and will challenge riders as they head over Donner Summit to the finish in Sacramento.

The Tour of California begins on Sunday May 15 as the first stage takes off from South Lake Tahoe and finishes in Northstar. Racers will cycle around Lake Tahoe and you can catch the final two hours of racing live and the finish on the Jumbotron in the events plaza at The Village at Palisades Tahoe.

Enjoy Race Day as The Village Comes Alive

As the festivities begin, spectators can watch riders sign in under the Olympic Rings at 9:15am, followed by the 10:15am start of Stage 2. After the riders get going with a lap and a half through the Village, celebrate with live music and stay to catch the Sacramento finish on the Jumbotron screen in The Village.

We'll watch the start of the race, and then we're going skiing and riding? We'll be open for skiing and riding on Monday May 16, and lift tickets are just $39 with a portion of the proceeds going towards Biking for a Better World and the local organizing committee.
