Toast for a Good Cause at Palisades Tahoe’s Alpen Wine Fest
[Olympic Valley, Calif.] – Featuring wine from more than 40 vineyards, the 27th Annual Alpen Wine Fest includes wine tastings, silent auction, live music and more, all taking place at the Village at Palisades Tahoe Sunday, September 6 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Proceeds from the event benefit Can Do Multiple Sclerosis (Can Do MS), a foundation providing wellness and education for people with Multiple Sclerosis. The proceeds will fund Palisades Tahoe programs in 2016, including the Vertical Express Adaptive Ski Experience, and Can Do MS’s inaugural multi-day adaptive program. Entry into the event is $40 in advance, available online at Can Do MS’s website, with $50 tickets available at the Village starting at 1 p.m. the day of the event. Attendees receive a commemorative crystal wine glass, full access to all wine tastings including featured wineries; Canihan Family Winery, Lumen Wines, Wrath Wines, Frank Family Winery and Quady Winery and entry into the largest silent auction in the region. The entire event is also accompanied by live music.
“Last year, Alpen Wine Fest raised more than $38,000 for our lifestyle empowerment programs,” said Can Do MS President and CEO Heidi A. Heltzel. “Fundraising events such as this one allow us to bring programs free of charge to Northern California and Nevada for people and families living with MS.”
The Alpen Wine Fest marks the pending start of fall after a summer filled with family friendly events in the Village at Palisades Tahoe. The Village at Palisades Tahoe offers an endless array of activities for all ages year-round. In addition to shopping and dining at dozens of restaurants, shops, and galleries, there are fire pits fit for s’mores, miniature golf, Sky Jump trampoline, climbing walls and more.
