Tahoe City Oktoberfest Celebrates Fall
Spend a spectacular fall weekend in Tahoe City and enjoy exceptional restaurants, independent shops, numerous things to do, and a fall favorite, the Tahoe City Oktoberfest, taking place on Saturday, October 1st at Layton Park at the Tahoe City Dam.
“Spending time in Tahoe City in the fall is magical! The lake, the people, the shops and restaurants are truly one of a kind,” shares Stacie Lyans, Tahoe City Downtown Association’s Executive Director. “Tahoe City is amazing throughout the fall, and it’s even better when you mix in some great events, beer, live music and games!”
This year's Tahoe City Oktoberfest will include games for the entire family, beer, brats, and live music featuring two Truckee bands, Coburn Station and Forget the Roses. A dog-friendly event, Oktoberfest includes games and attractions for quadrapeds as well as hungry and thirsty humans. Food vendors include Men Weilding Fire, Big Blue Q of Tahoe, The Souper Wagon, Truckee Sourdough Pretzels, Cheri's Ice Cream. Beer and wine vendors include The Brewing Lair, Fifty-Fifty, Auburn Alehouse, Lagunitas Brewery and Barefoot Wines.
Tahoe City Oktoberfest offers an opportunity to enjoy the splendor of Tahoe without summertime crowds. Layton Park, adjacent to the Tahoe City Dam and Fanny Bridge, is part of California State Parks and operated by the North Lake Tahoe Historical Society.
Take a stroll to and from the Oktoberfest and enjoy the spectacular Tahoe City scenery. The aspen, cottonwood and maple trees in Tahoe City are taking on golden, yellow and orange hues, and the paved bike and walking path welcomes both pedestrians and cyclists.
